No Matter What

I can't change you no matter how hard I try as it's not my place to make you in my image. As I see you suffer I want your pain to end although you may be where you are to grow in strength and wisdom. I'm by your side but I'm trying to be ahead of you as I can direct the way, but I know I'm overstepping boundaries as that's not my position to attempt to be in. I want you to do better however maybe my version of better isn't what you foresee for your life as who am I to explain what better should exemplify. I want to see you happy and full of joy as you seem to bask in sadness and fear which may just be my perspective. Who am I to say that where you are isn't where you belong? What I want won't replace what you need. What I think won't replace what you know. I can give you encouragement but I can't give you hope. I can be a shoulder to lean on but I can't be your strength. I can give you my opinion and share with you my journey but I can't lead you on your way. It's not about what I want or what I can do as this is your story that you write each day. I can pray for you to find your way each day and through Divine Grace you trust and rely on your Divine Source.
