What motivates you? Is it your children, spouse, parents, grandparents, or a friend? Do you move according to your Higher Powers directions, guidance, counsel, or instinct? Are you inspired by culture, community, groups, or your environment? We all have different reasons as to why we pursue, pause, or alter our direction. Outside influences can impact what we know on the inside as we reevaluate what is socially appropriate versus what is morally sound. It's great when others are used as motivation for us to work towards success. We then are positively influenced by others to achieve our highest potential. However, when we alter our thoughts and actions based on not upsetting others or causing conflict we are negatively allowing others to motivate us to stop our pursuit. Motivation should be inspiring and uplifting and if it's not its time to reconsider why you allow yourself to be influenced otherwise. Additionally if you aren't positively motivating others to do the same then it's time to evaluate why. We all are motivated by a source or multiple sources and it's up to you to assess the impact you allow your sources to have in your life.
